The Imperial Palace (IP) in Biloxi, Mississippi, stands as a prominent casino hotel offering a blend of entertainment, dining, and accommodation. Reviews present a diverse picture, highlighting both commendable features and areas needing attention. While many guests praise its vibrant atmosphere and helpful staff, others have encountered significant frustrations, particularly concerning aspects of customer service and room comfort. Overall, it appears to be a destination that can provide a fun experience, especially for gamblers, but guests should be aware of potential drawbacks.
The Imperial Palace offers a comprehensive resort experience in Biloxi. If you're primarily visiting for gambling and appreciate a wide selection of dining and swift hotel operations, you'll likely find it enjoyable. The strong concierge service is a definite highlight for those looking for personalized assistance. However, be prepared for the possibility of smoke smell, and if bed comfort is paramount, consider bringing a mattress topper or inquiring about room types with different bedding. Also, it's wise to double-check dining reviews for specific restaurants and ensure all guests are listed at check-in to avoid potential key access issues. Despite its flaws, the IP provides a robust entertainment hub, especially for those who can overlook its less favorable aspects.
We stayed here on our way home from the Sugar Bowl. We had fun gambling! It was also decorated very pretty inside for the holidays.Pros: there are plenty of restaurants/places to grab food inside the hotel. The elevators are quick and they have plenty of them! Everything is clearly marked so it's easy to find. Room was very spacious and had everything you needed in it. Rooms have good ACCons: people can smoke anywhere in the casinos. I'm guessing this may be why their rooms (even the non-smoking rooms) have a "smell" to them. Beds are HARD as a brick.
This is the first time I have written a scathing review of any place I have ever been. I know customer service and this needs to be known. It's sad that I am having to do this, just sad.I was very disappointed! We stayed in the king spa suite. For starters make sure all parties that are staying in the hotel/room with you are listed with the front desk. I happen to not of been listed. My wife got the stomach bug, I went to get some medicine and when I got back The key stopped working. The rule is if you are not listed they can not assist in any manner. You will be stuck in the lobby, until someone comes down from the room. Even if they are carrying the trash can from the room to vomit in. The customer service here is very bad! It has to start from the top down. The level of amenities are very poor. All the way down to the single ply TP in the bathroom! The view here was ok, however at night there are huge spotlights that shine on the building and you have to use the blackout curtains for sleeping.... Blah. Also the beds are not very comfortable, lumpy. The show takes for ever to get warm.On to the dining experience. The food for breakfast had very little flavor and was not a good value at all, in any sense. Tein was ok ... Average, the staff was nice. Bayview Cafe for breakfast, was very bad for food. The staff was nice. I got the Colorado omelette. I actually went to IHOP and got to Colorado on what because it pissed me off so bad. See photos of a real Colorado omelette! Colorado would be very pissed and send lawyers here to take it off the menu.. The Omelette was as thick as a piece of toast, sad. My lovely sidekick did enjoy the pancakes, at least that was acceptable.Walking around in the casino to try and find places to dine at was very confusing and seemed kind of like a maze, forcing you to walk through the gaming areas. We thought it would be cool to hit the arcade however it was closed and only open during Friday and Saturday. Why would I complain to anyone about this they know what a subpar hotel they're running. We will never come back here ever again it is the worst hotel experience we've ever had, from a so-called luxury hotel. The only caveat I can even think of to this entire experience would be the people that are coming here, have no idea.
Nice casino, I especially enjoyed the pool. The bartender, I believe his name was Blake, was very nice. Great customer service.
Recently the IP introduced me to my new concierge Thompson Nguyen, after enjoying multiple stays there over the last three years.I simply cannot praise him enough for the assistance he has given me in the last few months. He booked rooms for both myself (and boyfriend) and my 86 year old father several times and most importantly, he recently arranged a comped room for my boyfriend and myself in Las Vegas at their sister property, The Orleans. That was our Christmas present to each other this year. Thompson was even able to get complimentary food and gambling money added to our Boyds rewards cards to use in Las Vegas.I simply cannot praise him enough. I texted him yesterday about booking an upcoming trip to the Imperial Palace on March for my birthday/our anniversary, and he's already booked our room and reserved two tickets for us to see the Little River Band on my birthday.Thompson Nguyen, you are such an asset to The Imperial Palace in Biloxi. Thank you for everything you do â¤ī¸
Check was a breeze. Pulled up and bell service took our luggage while we checked in and brought it to our room afterwards. Regular check in line was long, but they had check in kiosks that gave you your room key and let you pick your room. Super fast and easy. Very nice view over the bay side. Made a dinner reservation at Tien with no problems. Pool was lovely. Room was nice and clean. Definitely will be back.
