The staff was really friendly and helpful. The buffet was great. The only reason the hotel did not get a 5 star rating from me was the fact that I didn't spend the night as I only live a couple of hours away. The casino was huge. They have a section for smokers, and a completely different building for non smokers. Something fun for everyone!!!
Was given a room upgrade. A spacious high class suite with a gorgeous view on the 6th floor. Casino is huge, clean and service abundant. Staff both helpful and friendly. Love the slots and they were generous to us. IV management knows how to treat loyalty!
Island View, is a perfect laid back vacation spot. The beach is within walking distance from either the Casino side or the Beach front side. The food is always spectacular, with a wide variety of foods to satisfy your palate as well as your budget.The rooms are clean and inviting. The gift shop is awesome and has something for everyone.Check in is easy and the staff are friendly, poised, informative and accommodating.The slot machines (which are the only games I play), are numerous with a broad variety of machines to keep one interested and entertained.I live over six hours away, but that never stops my husband and me from coming frequently, to enjoy The View.
The casino rooms on the non smoking side are nice & comfortable. Having the non smoking side is pleasant BUT , the machines are better in smoking. Wish some of the machines that are offered in smoking were offered in non smoking. I find that we definitely win more in the smoking casino. Service for this casino has taken a dive. I waited almost a hour for a bottled water while playing on a slot machine. The girl seemed not to be happy with my order . I do tip regardless, so I do no know why she had an attitude & never came back. I asked someone else to get it after 45 minutes of waiting. Also, your Diner restaurant waitress was rude! I had a free meal coupon & ordered a meal. I was told I couldn’t stand there and wait, to be seated. When I did that , the waitress told me I couldn’t sit there, at a table. It was slow that day, they were not busy. I told her that l tip & she let me sit there while I waited 5 minutes at her table & made an easy $5.I witnessed an employee pass up a cup on the floor after looking right at it. Machines have not been cleaned regularly , especially the ones near the bathrooms, the face of the machine had something sticky on it for over a month!! It was never cleaned until recently. Truly disgusting & can’t imagine the germs and bacteria buildup.This casino used to be great, now just becoming like the others going downhill . These places are desperate for good employees, I guess, & taking a hit on service & it shows. One more complaint, people cannot hear the announcements when you are calling names or giving announcements over the intercom. In some areas it’s not bad, in restaurant, can’t hear at all, in casino, it’s a hit or miss. Please make it louder!!Remember management, it’s about the experience & when you work at a place daily, it gets repetitive, but for the customer, a casino is an escape for a day, & people want a clean, nice, happy, fun & want good food & good experiences on their day out. It’s kind of feeling hum drum lately.
Spent a few early weekdays, less crowded, better rates. Clean, nicely appointed rooms. Plenty of food stops, from burgers to prime steak to buffet. All priced within reason. Smoking and non-smoking casino's. Free drinks in the casino. Now, the only downside. Parking. Especially for a handicapped person, just not enough on the beach side hotel casino. There's a whole empty area under the casino that could be used ??? Otherwise be prepared to walk. Or, if you're on the smoking side, park as close to the elevator as possible, you'll still have to walk a bit through the casino to get to check in. Slots were hitting up and down, at least they were hitting unlike my cruise ships 🤣
