Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel, nestled in the vibrant city of Biloxi, United States, presents itself as a destination for gaming and relaxation. However, recent visitor feedback paints a highly polarized picture, suggesting that while some aspects draw praise, others fall significantly short of expectations. Prospective guests should weigh the pros and cons carefully before planning their visit.
As a primary casino establishment, Treasure Bay offers a gaming floor for entertainment. One notable positive aspect appreciated by some visitors is its 21 and older restriction, which contributes to a more adult-oriented environment compared to some other family-friendly resorts. While the specific gaming options (slot machines, table games, etc.) are not detailed in the reviews, the casino serves as the main draw.
A significant downside mentioned is the issue of smoke drifting in from people walking by, which can detract from the comfort of the non-smoking areas or dining experiences for some guests.
The buffet, particularly the all-you-can-eat crab leg offering, is a central theme in visitor reviews, eliciting both strong praise and harsh criticism.
One specific incident at the BLU, 9th-floor half-price tapas, highlighted severe issues. A guest's 84th birthday celebration was marred by a "BAD EXPERIENCE," including a "2 days old, Dried out AND had burnt bacon" baked potato. This incident also pointed to a "Very Very disappointed in the staff’s attitude."
While some guests received offers for free or discounted rooms, the quality of the hotel stay itself appears to be a major liability for Treasure Bay.
The sentiment surrounding Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel is starkly divided. One reviewer emphatically states, "Do not waste your time or money coming here. It’s ran down, cheap and gross." This contrasts with others who appreciated specific offers or the crab leg buffet when it was good.
In summary:
Do not waste your time or money coming here. It’s ran down, cheap and gross. And it’s got a crab leg buffet, don’t waste your money or your time, the shrimp are mush couldn’t even peel them without it all falling apart, 1 positive is you won’t have to worry about shell crackers, no need with their rubber legged snow crabs. And don’t thing oh I’ll get other items on the buffet, no it all tastes like they picked that stuff up from the dollar tree dumpster. I wouldn’t go back even if you paid me.
We visited Treasure Bay casino for the 2nd time last week after receiving an offer for a free hotel room. We also received a big discount for the all-you-can-eat crab leg and lobster buffet, totaling $63 for the 2 of us (plus tip). We spent the afternoon at the pool, which was very nice, Then later that evening we entertained ourselves in the casino. We enjoy this spot when visiting Mississippi and especially appreciate the 21 and older restrictions. We will be back next year!
I personally have not stayed the night at this casino. I have only been for the all you can eat grab-legs on the buffet! The buffet was good not as many options as some of the other casinos. If you like crab legs this is a good place because it is one of the only casinos/hotels that offer crab legs. My favorite buffet is the Beau Rivage Casino
I was so embarrassed as a “ local” to have a friend drive over from Panama City for her 84 th birthday and have such a BAD EXPERIENCE!!! I have been coming here for at least 4 years ( now after Covid) and as aRegular local was shocked at the service up at the BLU, 9th floor Half price tapas. Mind you, I normally go on Wednesday to avoid the Tuesday & Thursday crowds; however, it was her birthday and she had booked a room for that very night. All she wanted was a BAKED POTATO ( with NO bacon) this potato had to be 2 days old. Dried out AND had burnt bacon on it. The lady next to her also had a potato that looked much better, but she did not eat even half and had just a few crab claws also being disappointed. THEN, my friends room was so damp, the floor was wet, she ruined her socks AND then ALL her clothes were damp! The sheets and blankets were wet, when she called down for another room she was told they were full for the night! She was a PAYING GUEST, not a comp! Well… needless to say she relocated over to the Hard Rock for $20 more!!! I will NEVER EVER let any visitors stay at Treasure Bay again!!! Nor will I attend theHalf Price Tapas. Very Very disappointed in the staff’s attitude 5/20/2025
Went here for brunch on a Saturday morning. It was good. The upstairs floor where the restaurant is was non smoking. The downside is that to get the restaurant you have to walk inside the main floor which smells like an ash tray even though it’s only a 20 second walk. So if you don’t want to come out smelling like cigarettes best to avoid this place.
