Bally's Casino Chicago, located in the heart of downtown Chicago, United States, serves as a prominent gambling establishment in the city. As a primary casino destination, it aims to offer a comprehensive gaming experience to its visitors. However, recent guest feedback paints a mixed picture, highlighting both its strengths and significant areas for improvement.
One of Bally's Casino Chicago's most frequently praised attributes is its prime downtown location. Situated conveniently, it's easily accessible for both locals and tourists looking for a gambling outing. Reviewers consistently commend its "awesome" and "unbeatable" location.
Upon entry, many guests find the casino to be clean, contributing to a more pleasant environment for gaming. In terms of offerings, Bally's provides a decent selection of slots and a variety of table games, ensuring there's something for different preferences.
For some regular patrons, the casino offers a relaxed atmosphere, often described as "never too crowded," which allows for a more comfortable gaming session. The staff, according to some, can be "pleasant," contributing to a generally good time, especially for those who manage to walk away with some winnings.
While the location is a strong point, several critical issues emerge from user reviews, primarily concerning customer service, operational policies, and the overall player experience.
A recurring complaint revolves around the unprofessionalism and lack of hospitality from the staff. Specific incidents reported include:
Beyond staff interactions, the gaming environment itself presents drawbacks:
Several guests have expressed deep frustration with the casino's operational policies and systems:
It's crucial to note that the current Bally's Casino Chicago is a temporary location. Many regular visitors are aware that a permanent, presumably larger and more equipped, casino will eventually open in the River West neighborhood. This temporary status may explain some of the current limitations, such as table availability or the overall setup, but it does not excuse issues related to customer service or fairness.
Bally's Casino Chicago benefits from its excellent downtown location and offers a clean environment with a decent array of games. However, these positives are significantly overshadowed by consistent complaints regarding poor customer service, unprofessional staff interactions, frustrating operational policies (especially concerning parking and ATMs), and occasional issues with gaming equipment and table availability. While some may find it a "fun place if you want to gamble" and occasionally walk away a winner, the overall experience for many, particularly those encountering issues or visiting for a special occasion, has been severely disappointing. Prospective visitors should be prepared for potential frustrations beyond the typical risks of gambling, especially regarding administrative processes and staff assistance. The true measure of Bally's will likely be seen when its permanent location opens.
Clean casino. Decent amount of slots and a bunch of table games. Conveniently located downtown.Fun place if you want to gamble. Just be prepared to give some money away!
Awesome location, dealers could be better and a bit more professional. Seems to be a very common theme of dealers quickly clearing roulette boards and missing pay outs. Has happened to me multiple times and I’ve actually had the pit bosses make rude comments until the cameras proved them wrong. They greatly lack hospitality skills but the location can’t be beat although it does get crowded with the lack of tables they often open up
Very disappointed. My husband received a promotion for free parking. We took advantage of this offer and went to play and to receive our free gift. We were surprised to find out that we had to make a certain amount of points in order to validate the free parking. I rechecked the promotion and NO WHERE did it mention anything about making points in order to receive the free parking. We didn’t make the points and had to pay $45.00 for parking. This in my eyes was “false advertisement promotion”. We will not be playing anymore in your casino. We will continue playing at the Horseshoe and Hard Rock casinos in Indiana.
this place SUCKS do not make the mistake of stepping foot in here. my friends and i decided to go here on my birthday after a different activity just for fun. wouldnt let me in because i had temporary id, went home and went back with my passport and they told me i could redeem free parking. try to sign up for membership to get parking and the dude had attitude with me for asking that. we thought it would be fun to play blackjack but the table minimums were very high considering we dont gamble like that. decided to just play slots. there was an issue with atm machine not dispensing the money i asked for and then charging $7 for a withdrawal. another issue at player services, i tried cashing out and they told me to go over the next window, apparently i dropped my ticket and someone picked up and immediately cashed it out. when i tried to get help they wanted me to piss off and laughed at me. my girl crashed out on them and we ended up getting the $20 pr whatever after lots of fighting. when we go to validate the parking it turns out you dont get free parking unless you have 25 “points” on your membership so we basically got scammed their again. overall -10/10, terrible vibes, BIRTHDAY RUINED
Absolutely horrible experience playing at ballys Chicago. I was met with unprofessional customer service and dirty, sticky computer games ultimately resulting in me losing all my money in a matter of one bet because the button was stuck. No attempt was made by Bally’s employees to rectify the situation, I was completely brushed off as if my experience did not matter.
