Located in Council Bluffs, United States, Prairie Flower Casino is a notable gaming establishment that garners a range of opinions from its visitors. While some tout it as a comfortable, smoke-free haven with friendly staff and unique gaming options, others express disappointment regarding machine payouts, food quality, and service.
One of the most consistently praised aspects of Prairie Flower Casino is its smoke-free environment, a significant draw for many who prefer to gamble without the presence of smoke. Visitors frequently describe the casino as "nice & clean" and "comfortable," contributing to a pleasant overall atmosphere. Even those with less positive experiences acknowledged the smoke-free nature of the establishment. The drink station, in particular, was noted for being "nice, clean and fully stocked."
Feedback on the gaming machines is varied. Some patrons, unfortunately, reported that "machines don't hit anything" and felt it was "nothing special" in terms of winnings. However, other reviewers appreciated the casino's "variety of games to play." Unlike some casinos that offer similar types of games under different names, Prairie Flower Casino is commended for providing a genuine "variety of options" that appeal to diverse player preferences.
The culinary experience at Prairie Flower Casino presents a mixed bag. One highly positive review highlighted the "sweet chili pork mac n cheese" and a "house pale ale" from the Sky Bar, praising both the taste and "incredible value." The pale ale was described as "really nice, smooth." Conversely, another reviewer had a deeply negative experience with the food, labeling it "awful" and describing the salmon as a "weird combination of flavors" that "leaves much to be desired." It's also worth noting that the kitchen might close at certain hours, as one visitor mentioned getting only a cold hoagie late on a Friday night, though they found it "decent" for $5.
The quality of service at Prairie Flower Casino appears to be inconsistent. Many visitors reported positive interactions, describing the staff as "friendly," "helpful," and "cheerful." These positive accounts suggest that attentive and pleasant service is definitely a possibility. However, a contrasting review criticized the service as "terrible," citing "inexperienced, young, inattentive employees" and "long wait times," leading to significant disappointment.
Prairie Flower Casino offers a unique proposition in Council Bluffs, particularly for those seeking a smoke-free gaming experience. Here's a summary of its reported strengths and weaknesses:
An intriguing point is the mention of a "new part opening up in a few weeks" by a reviewer from four months ago, suggesting ongoing development and expansion. This could potentially address some of the current limitations and enhance the overall visitor experience.
Prairie Flower Casino seems to be a destination that can be either a "hidden gem" or "nothing special" depending on individual expectations and experiences. Its commitment to being smoke-free and offering a variety of games are strong selling points. However, prospective visitors should be aware of the potential for inconsistent food quality and service. For a first-time visit or a quick gaming session in a clean environment, it could be a pleasant stop.
It was my first time being there. I love that it is a smoke-free environment. It was nice & clean. The staff was friendly. I didn't eat anything so I can't comment on the food. However, the drink station was nice, clean and fully stocked. I don't live in the area. However, when I return, I would like to visit again.
Smaller casino but comfortable. Staff is helpful and friendly. I like the variety of games to play. It seems a lot of casinos basically have the same TYPE of games just different names. But Prairie Flower has a variety of options and I personally look for and like several options.
I had a sweet chili pork mac n cheese and a house pale ale at the Sky Bar. The pale ale was really nice, smooth. The mac n cheese tasted really good and was incredible value. My server and all the staff were cheerful and helpful.I totally recommend this hidden gem.
Machines don't hit anything. Ever. Food was aweful. I had the salmon which was a weird combination of flavors. I'm not a picky eater and this menu leaves much to be desired.Service was terrible. Inexperienced, young, inattentive employees. Long wait times. Overall very disappointed with this casino.
Hit 2 nice hand pay outs on 2 separate days this last week but couldn't b more disappointed on the slow and rude service from the employees working made me feel like 2 them I was a inconvenience and had more important things 2 do like stand around and talk with other employees, I could c if it was peak hours but in the middle of the day on a week day the tribe would b very disappointed by there lack of motivation and customer service. They should have stayed small if the staff wasn't going 2 grow with the new building
