Located in Council Bluffs, Ralston Keno presents itself as a casino primarily centered around keno, but user reviews reveal its reputation is largely defined by its dining experience and, unfortunately, highly inconsistent service. While some patrons laud the establishment as an "absolutely amazing establishment" with "delicious mouthwatering cuisine," others recount experiences marred by severely poor service and perceived unprofessionalism.
The food at Ralston Keno is frequently cited as the primary draw for many visitors. Reviewers consistently praise specific dishes, creating a buzz around their kitchen offerings:
However, the culinary experience isn't uniformly positive. One specific dish, the Salisbury Steak, was emphatically called "the most disgusting I have ever had," indicating a significant variance in dish quality. Despite this, the overall sentiment regarding the food leans positive, often being the sole reason customers continue to visit.
This is where Ralston Keno faces its most significant criticism. The service quality appears to be highly inconsistent, ranging from commendable to outright unacceptable:
As a keno establishment, the gambling aspect is clearly a draw for some. Beyond the gaming, positive reviews describe Ralston Keno as an "amazing establishment" with "amazing drinks," including a good selection of wine, drafts, and domestic beers. It's positioned as a "must stop in Nebraska" for those looking for a combination of keno and dining, assuming they encounter a positive service experience.
Ralston Keno offers potentially delicious food, particularly its highly-rated chicken fried steak, and a vibrant keno atmosphere. However, the glaring inconsistency and often severely negative reports regarding service, staff demeanor, and management responsiveness are significant deterrents. Patrons might find themselves enjoying a great meal with excellent service from specific individuals, or they could face slow service, rude interactions, and unresolved issues.
If you prioritize food and are willing to risk inconsistent service, or if you plan to visit when known good servers are on duty, Ralston Keno might be worth a visit for its culinary highlights and keno offerings. However, those sensitive to service quality might want to approach with caution.
The only reason we come to this place is for the food! The service is absolutely horrible. This company needs to hire more servers on staff and or security if you have so many problems with people walking out with out paying why is there only one server on a shift?! My boyfriend and I have been coming here for 4 years and because Betty has never seen our faces looks at me with a cold demeanor and automatically asks for id (I didn’t ask for any alcohol and we are not gambling) and goes right into asking for a card to put on file basically saying she doesn’t trust us and is profiling/discriminating us! I’ve never felt so insulted by and disgusted in a waitress before.
The server took almost 10 minutes to come to the table, but once she made it over, she was great. It was great that they allow you to have 1/2 cauliflower and 1/2 mushrooms... we love that so much. The chicken fried steak is amazing and in the top five in Omaha; however, the Salisbury Steak was the most disgusting I have ever had. We will be back sometimebut will never order that again.
Absolutely amazing establishment, friendly curtious staff ,amazing drinks, wine ,as well as drafts and domestic .Delicious mouthwatering cuisineA must stop in in Nebraska, they have keno as well. Highly recommend
I’ve been coming here for 10 years and I love this place! Jade is the best! Tonight, Angel was our server and she is an amazing server! I will always sit in her section when I come here if she’s working. When you go, sit in her section!
Had an issue with my food. The waitress called me rude. She also shamed me in the dining room for wasting food. Food that I paid for and took to go. Management had no interest in resolving the conflict and was just as rude if not more so.
