Overall very good experience at this hotel. The rooms were clean with a comfortable bed. Distance to downtown Detroit was good everything was very accessible. Service staff were a mixed bag some very friendly some not so friendly. The added casino is also a good feature if that’s your scene. Would recommend if you’re staying in Detroit.
The front desk on the afternoon of my arrival were unsmiling and not at all friendly, but the rest of my time there the people I encountered were friendly and helpful, so maybe they were having a bad day.My room was showing its age a bit, but it was clean and quiet. I appreciated the number of towels and washcloths provided. There was a shower and a bathtub, and little bottles of shampoo, lotion, etc.I was at the hotel for a conference, so I only wandered through the casino, but it didn't smell like smoke when I was there.This hotel really needs to work on their plastic use. They had tiny bottles of toiletries instead of the larger, refillable bottles many hotels have moved to. They served hundreds of tiny bottles of water at the conference, instead of pitchers of water and glasses. What a waste! It's shameful.

It was okay except when it comes to their reward play system, I had like 10$ on my card to use for free play yet when I plugged my card into the first machine it showed up and couldn't use it , so I put 10$ cash into the machine and played it and then it literally deducted the 10$ free play bonus as if I played that, so i didn't get any free play basically and not one employee could explain how that works in any comprehensible way that makes any sense. Not really a big deal it's just 10 bucks but still its nice to have a better straight forward reward/ bonus system instead of wasting time figuring it all out while your there. That would be my only complaint , besides that The employees were nice & friendly.
