Nestled in Fort Lauderdale, the Cardroom Play Poker, often experienced as part of the larger Hard Rock Hotel & Casino complex, offers a vibrant and comprehensive entertainment destination. User reviews paint a picture of a largely positive experience, highlighting impressive aesthetics, comfortable accommodations, and a lively atmosphere, though with a few points for potential improvement.
Visitors consistently describe a "wonderful experience" within a "super nice environment". The venue is noted for being "very colorful" and boasting "lots of memorabilia," contributing to a memorable ambiance. Many guests express eagerness to return, emphasizing its status as a must-visit location.
The rooms receive high praise for their cleanliness and comfort, often rated five stars. Staying in areas like "The White Tower" provides a thoroughly enjoyable weekend experience.
The "scenic views of the Guitar Hotel are outstanding," adding to the luxurious feel of the stay.
The pool facilities are a significant draw:
The pool areas are described as "impressive and elegant," with "heated swimming pools" being a particular highlight.
For those seeking a "FAMILY-FRIENDLY experience," the Hard Rock Hotel's pool area is recommended, noted for its stunning appearance, ample shade, and a "Water Slide which kids love."
A common observation is that pool space can be "very limited." Guests are advised to "Arrive EARLY to get a nice spot," or consider renting a cabana for an extra charge to ensure comfort.
Feedback on staff interaction is generally positive:
Many reviewers commend the "nice staff" and "Great customer service!"
However, one review noted that customer service "still needs improvement," specifically regarding responsiveness to inquiries about luxurious suites (e.g., Oasis Tower Swim Up Suites).
The venue offers "many available restaurants" and the "Food is great!" with drinks also being good.
A notable difference for some visitors from other regions (like New England's Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun) is that drinks in the casino are *not* free while playing slots or tables. This was a point of surprise for at least one guest.
While the reviews encompass the broader hotel and casino, the mention of "Cardroom Play Poker" indicates that poker is a primary offering. One reviewer humorously admits, "they got me for all my money though lol but my own fault," a classic casino sentiment, suggesting an engaging if sometimes costly, gaming experience.
In summary, this Fort Lauderdale establishment offers a vibrant and enjoyable casino resort experience, particularly strong in its luxurious accommodations, impressive pools, and engaging atmosphere. While there's a slight room for improvement in certain aspects of customer service and guest awareness regarding drink policies, it remains a highly recommended destination for entertainment and relaxation.
This time my review will be based on my overall experience. When it comes to cleanliness and comfort I give the rooms five stars. As I previously mentioned the scenic views of the Guitar Hotel are outstanding, the pool area is impressive and elegant, now on the downside space is very limited. Arrive EARLY to get a nice spot, or you could always RENT a Cabana for an extra charge. For a more FAMILY-FRIENDLY experience I definitely recommend the Hard Rock Hotel, there is always more space available, the pool area is stunning with lots of shade. It also has a Water Slide which kids love. I rated this hotel a 3 stars because I believe CUSTOMER SERVICE still needs improvement and I have been wanting to stay at one of the Oasis Tower Swim Up Suites. I've been looking forward to review my experience in this luxurious Suite, but when I request more information about the stay I don't receive a straight answer. Despite this negative experience I visit all the time and recommend this Hotel!
This place has nice staff, super nice environment, they got me for all my money though lol but my own fault, so pretty inside and has lots of memorabilia.
Great customer service! Very nice staff... Clean rooms!Heated Swimming pools are awesome! Food is great! Drinks are good! Can't wait to go back! Nothing to complain about.Definitely a place you must visit!
Wonderful experience. Very colorful, I was just slightly thrown back when I was told you had to pay for drinks while in the casino. In New England, there's Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, and as long as you're playing slots or the tables, drinks are free. It's still a wonderful time.
Stayed at βThe White Towerβ for the weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed the many available restaurants and multitude of activities afforded us. Didnβt get a chance to go to the pool; but will definitely do that next time. π
