ARIA Resort & Casino

The ARIA Resort & Casino stands as a prominent fixture on the Las Vegas Strip, often touted as a modern luxury destination. This review compiles recent guest experiences, highlighting both its gleaming highs and its frustrating lows.

The Upside of ARIA: Modern Luxury and Smart Comfort ✨

Many guests praise ARIA for its contemporary design and advanced in-room technology, which undoubtedly contribute to a luxurious stay.

Areas for Concern: Significant Service & Billing Issues ⚠️

Despite its luxurious facade, ARIA faces significant criticism, particularly concerning its back-end operations and some staff interactions.

  1. Billing & Checkout Discrepancies:

A major point of contention is the billing process and post-checkout support. One guest reported a "terrible experience" with no invoice emailed post-checkout despite booking through a luxury hotel collection. They were unable to speak to representatives due to system issues and were overcharged by $300, receiving "0 response" after three days of emailing and contacting guest relations. This lack of a proper folio and accurate billing is deemed "absurd" for a 5-star hotel, leading the guest to pursue a bank dispute.

  2. Staff Knowledge & Attitude:

    • Inconsistent Staff Knowledge: Guests report staff struggling to confirm rewards and bonuses applied to accounts, potentially requiring speaking to multiple representatives to verify benefits, even when confirmation emails are presented.
    • Rude Patisserie Staff: The staff at Aria Patisserie were specifically called out for being "incredibly rude" and pushing for tips even without providing adequate customer support.
  3. Mini-Bar Policy & Pricing:

The mini-bar policy is a recurring complaint. The fridge is reportedly full of mini-bar products, and guests are charged if they use it for their own items, which is perceived as "stingy." Furthermore, guests noted that a bottle of water can cost $26.00 and this is not advertised at check-in. There's also a warning to "watch your bill at checkout!" as charges from previous guests' mini-bar consumption can appear.

  4. Facility Navigation:

Given ARIA's large size, some guests found it challenging to navigate, describing "a long walk to the rooms" and difficulty in locating amenities like the ice machine, with room maps proving unhelpful.

  5. "Hectic" Experience:

One guest characterized their entire stay, from check-in to check-out, as "incredibly hectic," underscoring broader operational challenges.

Key Considerations for Potential Guests

Before booking your stay at ARIA Resort & Casino, consider the following advice based on past guest experiences:

  1. Verify Your Bill Thoroughly: Always scrutinize your final bill upon checkout for any discrepancies, especially regarding mini-bar charges or overcharges.
  2. Inquire About Rewards: If you have credit card rewards or bonuses, be prepared to provide clear confirmation and potentially speak to multiple staff members to ensure they are honored.
  3. Bring Your Own Water: To avoid high costs, pick up bottled water when checking in or elsewhere, rather than relying on the expensive in-room options.
  4. Be Mindful of Mini-Bar Usage: Understand that storing personal items in the mini-bar fridge might incur charges.

Conclusion

ARIA Resort & Casino offers the promise of a modern, luxurious Las Vegas experience with its impressive rooms, smart technology, and vibrant atmosphere. However, this high-end facade is occasionally marred by significant operational and customer service issues, particularly concerning billing accuracy and staff consistency. While some guests enjoy a "simply epic" stay, others encounter frustrating "hectic" experiences. Prospective visitors should be aware of these potential pitfalls and proceed with diligence, especially during the checkout process, to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit.

I had a terrible experience staying at Aria. Let me delve into the specifics of the details. I booked through Visa Infinite Luxury Hotel Collections, but at the time of check-out, no invoice was emailed over (which is absurd, especially for a hotel of this caliber). I emailed and contacted guest representatives and hotel staff, yet, I have received 0 response. At the time of check-out on Sunday, the system was down and I was not even able to speak to any of the representatives regarding the charges (I was charged a total of $300 more than what I was supposed to be charged). It has been 3 days, and still, no representative has properly responded to my email or has sent over a folio.Guests are entitled to receive a proper folio and billing regarding what they were charged for, to ensure that there are no discrepancies in billing - this is something a 5-star hotel should provide, right away (especially considering the fact that I checked out digitally). It is absurd that after emails sent over patiently within a 3-day time frame and after contacting guest relations, no proper invoice has been sent to date, and my credit card has still been charged an inaccurate amount.I will be proceeding with a dispute through my bank and will file a complaint until these concerns have been addressed.Other minus points:- Staff do not know the rewards and bonuses that are applied to your account. BEWARE if you have any reward or bonuses through your CC as Aria Hotel will not honor them, and you'll have to speak to 2-3 representatives before they confirm that you do, in fact have rewards and benefits (even when you've shown them your confirmation email)- Staff working at Aria Patisserie are incredibly rude, and push you to tip them even after not providing adequate and friendly customer support- The whole experience from check-in to check-out was incredibly hectic.Potential guests that are considering staying at ARIA Resort, please steer away and consider staying at Waldorf Astoria - I had an amazing check-in and check-out experience there, and they truly uphold the qualities of a 5-star hotel. ARIA clearly does not.

Simply epic. Motorized sheer & blackout blinds were my highlight for the room (controllable from the tablet beside the bed!). Moderately luxurious vibe. The digital concierge was genuinely helpful for a few things (I forgot my toothbrush, one arrived at the room within minutes of requesting through the app!).Mini fridge is full of mini bar products, and they'll charge you if you use it for your own products. Dropped a star for being stingy 🙂Room service was pretty damn good, and not terrible pricing (for Vegas).

The room was nice, but the temperature was not good. Most of the time the room was at 78 degrees, and it would randomly cool down in the morning and evening. The cleaners were so nice!! One cleaner tried to adjust our thermostat, but it hadn't cooled down when she came back to check. So, she brought us 3 small bottles of water. I didn't get her name or I would have left her a specific review and compliments. Location was excellent for exploring the Strip.

Arrived Thursday night and check in line was normal. Kiosks for quick check in did not work so we had to wait in line. Once we got our key, walked through the casino which was nice and crowded for the evening . Lots of tables and slots spread out nicely. The room was fine. Nothing fancy. Biggest issues are the walls are so thin you hear everyone talking in the hallways and doing what they’re doing in their rooms. I woke with an alarm from a room a few down from me going off and the pipes making weird noises. On top of that, our electric blinds wouldn’t open so it’s constantly dark and dreary in our room. Called the front desk multiple times with the promise from them that someone would come and fix but alas, no one shows. On top of that, we asked for a different room and they have nothing. Okay…. Horrible customer service, zero empathy, not going to stay here again. Not worth the money!
