Harrah's Las Vegas

Harrah's Las Vegas, centrally located on the bustling Las Vegas Strip, offers a distinct experience for visitors. Based on recent guest feedback, it garners an average rating that leans towards a mixed to positive reception, with its prime location and entertainment options often highlighted, while room amenities and some aspects of service receive scrutiny.

Prime Location & Accessibility πŸ“

Undoubtedly, one of Harrah's strongest assets is its unbeatable location. Situated right in the middle of the Strip, guests praise its convenience for exploring surrounding attractions. A small convenience store in the lobby and a McDonald's right outside the door add to its accessibility. Guests also appreciate the ease of navigating the hotel, including finding elevators from the lobby to their rooms, and the proximity of popular spots like Ben & Jerry's.

Casino & Entertainment Options 🎰

As a primary casino destination, Harrah's delivers on its core offering. Guests found plenty of machines and tables to play, ensuring a vibrant gaming experience. The food court offers numerous options for dining. Furthermore, the hotel hosts great shows, with Colin Cloud specifically recommended by one satisfied guest for an engaging entertainment experience.

Overall Verdict βœ…

Harrah's Las Vegas appears to be a solid choice for travelers prioritizing a fantastic mid-Strip location and a lively casino environment with good entertainment options. While the gaming and entertainment aspects are consistently strong, the hotel's room quality and some guest services can be inconsistent. Guests looking for premium room amenities like mini-fridges or microwaves might be disappointed, and it's advisable to manage expectations regarding specific room views. Despite these nuances, many guests, particularly those valuing location and gaming, express a willingness to return, often advising against paying extra for amenities that might not deliver as expected.

The rooms were clean and stocked with everything we needed. The VIP staff was terrific! They handled everything with professionalism and respect. The food court has plenty of options. The servers on the casino floor were quick to bring drinks, and we had several nice conversations with them. We have been here a few times, and everyone who works there always remembers us when we come back. There are plenty of machines and tables to play. Great shows are available in the hotel. I recommend seeing Colin Cloud.

Couldn't ask for a better location. It is in the middle of the Strip, surrounded by everything. There is a small convenience store in the lobby, and a McDonalds right outside the door. The room itself was average. Comfortable, but nothing noteworthy. Wifi and hot water were good, beds were comfy. Good value for the money. Our biggesst issue in staying was that we paid an extra $50 for a room with a view. When we checked in, we specifically told the desk clerk that we wanted to "see the lights of Vegas" The picture below shows our amazing "city view". Now I completely understand that not everyone can have a great view - but I really don't think that we should have been charged extra for this. Overall, I would stay there again - just don't pay for any extras.

Walked in and they usher you to the kiosk to check yourself in w/ no help at all. They didn't offer to help you with working the kiosk, finding your room, what direction to head.. nothing. You walk in and your on your own. Although we managed fine it's the point of it, with the amount we spent I expected better. The room was ok. Asked for a king and walked in to 2 queens. Mirror Light in the bathroom stopped working, there was hair all over the floor in the bathroom, shower was not a clean as it should've been. Only 1/2 of a shower door so the water got all over the outside bathroom floor. It was very clean smelling and clean for the most part. Internet kept going in and out on the TV. NO mini fridge which was odd to me because even cheap hotels have those in the room. No clock, kinda a pain to pick my phone up throughout the day/ night to check the time. Pretty quiet which was nice. Comfortable bed, big towels which was also nice. Downstairs was very nice, people/employees were friendly and helpful.

The price and location is perfect. The ease of finding the elevators from the lobby to your room is very convenient. Loved the Ben n Jerry’s next to the elevator also. The rooms and service is lacking! Our bathroom did not have enough towels (only 3 towels in a room for 4 people). We called twice for an extra towel and still no service. Our bed sheets had holes in them. Not enough elevators at parking area.Things found normally in other hotels that this one lacked are as follows:There is no luggage stand provided. We had no microwave or mini fridge. No breakfast. There are no Kleenex, makeup remover, lotion or any sign with a number for complimentary items.*Access to Caesars was closed.

Our experience was not great. When we opened the door to our room, we were greeted with a strong smell of cigarettes. The bed was stripped and the bedding was stack on the table. I called the front desk and was informed that all of their hotel rooms were non-smoking. I let them know our room had clearly been smoked and I wanted to make sure we would not be charged any type of extra cleaning fee. They did send house keeping up I will say it appeared like there was a conference going on and the connecting hotels were also all completely booked so I know they were very busy. Still the customer service could have been friendlier.
