MGM Grand Review

It’s located at one end of the strip and near the airport. The rooms were well insulated and quiet. The rooms were clean but could use some updating. The decor featured dark tones with black carpet, granite, and cabinets, while the bathroom stood out as modern and all white. To get anywhere in the hotel, we had to walk through a smoky casino, which wasn’t ideal for an asthmatic person. The pool was located at the opposite end of the property—about a half-mile walk from our room, which was near the end of a long hallway. The food court offered typical fast-food options like pizza, Chinese, hot dogs, and tacos, I didn’t notice a salad or healthier choices. In comparison, other hotels offered more nutritious options at their food courts. There were sit-down dining restaurants available as well. The staff was nice especially the housekeepers who always said hello and smiled. The self parking is 20-25 dollars per day. We upgraded our room so we could drive in and out without paying for parking each time.

Our stay at the MGM Grand Las Vegas was excellent from start to finish. The check-in through the MGM app was fast and hassle-free — no waiting at the front desk, and we could head straight to the room using the digital key. Super convenient!The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a great stay. While we didn’t have a Strip view, the room was quiet and well-appointed, which made for a very relaxing experience.The overall atmosphere at the MGM Grand is vibrant and full of energy. From the great dining options and entertainment to the friendly staff, everything was on point. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back.

I stayed at the MGM Grand for three nights, and overall, it was a solid experience with a few highs and lows.The Good:Room: I booked a standard king room and it was spacious, clean, and well-kept. The bed was super comfortable, and the view of the Strip was a nice touch.Amenities: The pool complex is massive and definitely one of the highlights. It gets crowded, but it’s a great spot to relax or grab a drink. The gym is also one of the better ones I’ve seen at a hotel.Location: Perfect spot on the Strip. Easy to walk to other casinos, and there’s a monorail stop right there too.Dining: Tons of options from casual to fine dining. I had a fantastic dinner at Craftsteak and also loved the quick eats at the food court.The Not-So-Great:Check-in: It took forever. There was a huge line, and even the mobile check-in option was glitchy for me.Overall 5 stars

Thankfully the rooms are clean and decent for the price of staying on the strip. However, the guest services employees really need to work on their service skills. I am sure they are bombarded with complaints and I feel for them. But when we found we had been charged twice for one room, the best response given was "it will drop off in 4-5 business days." This is money that was no longer available for us to spend while we were there, so their loss. We also lost all access to the elevators and room the morning of check out, and well before we were supposed to check out. The individual at guest services didn't once apologize for the inconvenience and time we wasted standing in line to get our keys working again. And to top it all off, a bellman told my wife "it's rough losing it all" after expressing her frustration with our stay, to which I promptly responded that we in fact did not lose anything and had actually won more than we lost. I even responded to the survey they sent me with all of the above complaints and then some, but haven't heard anything back. So, clearly they don't care.I will say all of the dealers we interacted with were a lot of fun and made the stay a bit more pleasant. The rooms were also quite nice, though, the lack of a coffee maker is kind of annoying... I don't think we'll be staying at MGM Grand again and I will not be recommending anyone spend their money staying there.
