SAHARA Las Vegas

Located on the bustling Las Vegas Strip, SAHARA Las Vegas is primarily known as a casino hotel, offering guests a mix of entertainment, dining, and accommodation. Based on recent guest experiences, SAHARA presents a varied impression, with reviews ranging from 1 to 5 stars.

👍 What Guests Loved:

  1. Modern & Unique Rooms: The Blanca Tower rooms are frequently praised for their unique design, modern decor, and features like sliding mirrors and a nice fridge. Guests appreciated the modern colors and spacious layout with plenty of seating.
  2. Excellent Service & Smooth Check-in: Reviewers consistently highlighted the friendly and prompt service, along with quick and easy check-in processes. Elevators were also noted for being efficient.
  3. Great Amenities & Vibe: The hotel boasts plenty of seating areas for lounging and a rooftop pool. For sports enthusiasts, there are huge screens with various sports playing. Locals particularly enjoyed the nice chill vibe by the pool area, coupled with outstanding food and a great drink menu. Rooms also featured a big TV and a useful couch with multiple tables.
  4. Convenient Location (with context): While situated on the north end of the Strip, its direct access to the monorail station makes getting around the Strip easy. Many found it offered good value for the price, especially considering the accessibility.

⚠️ Points to Consider:

  1. Smoking in Casino: As is common in many Las Vegas casinos, the casino floor can be quite smoky, which might be a turn-off for non-smokers.
  2. Construction Noise & Communication: A significant concern for one guest was unexpected construction noise during their stay. There was a lack of prior disclosure, and the hotel's resolution (waiving the resort fee but not moving rooms) was deemed unsatisfactory. Potential guests should inquire about ongoing renovations and their impact.
  3. Room Decor Discrepancies & Suitability: Some guests felt the actual room decor, particularly in certain sections, did not match online photos, describing it as old or featuring questionable art (like a "creepy girl" print or a mirror on the bed ceiling). The design, including a large glass shower window visible from the bedroom, might make it less ideal for families. The "city view" in upgraded rooms was also noted as underwhelming.

Final Thoughts:

SAHARA Las Vegas appears to be a worthwhile option for those seeking a modern, clean hotel with good service and amenities, especially if you plan to utilize the monorail or appreciate a hotel slightly removed from the Strip's busiest sections. However, potential guests should be aware of the pervasive smoking typical of casinos and it's advisable to inquire about any ongoing construction that might affect their stay.

While some room designs are unique and modern, others might find certain decor choices or layouts less appealing, particularly for family travel. For individuals or couples looking for a lively casino experience with convenient Strip access and a decent price point, SAHARA could be a good fit, provided expectations are managed regarding specific room aesthetics and potential noise from renovations.

It was a nice hotel. I was turned off by all the smokers in the Casino. But booze and cigs and the like go together. 🤷🏽 The rooms are very uniquely designed in the Blanca Tower. Sliding mirrors were the coverings to different sections of the room.Nice fridge, and very modern decor and colors. I liked it a lot. They had plenty of seating areas for lounging and a roof top pool.If I ever come back to Vegas again, I wouldn't mind staying again.

The hotel was very clean and modern. The elevators were quick and the service was friendly and prompt. Check-in was easy and quick. Our room was nice, we upgraded to the city view room with a refrigerator. Not much of a city view which was a little disappointing but having the fridge was really nice and definitely saved us some dollars. Location is on the very north end of the strip but the monorail station is right at the hotel so easy to get to any part of the strip. If someone complains about location, they clearly did not look at the map before reserving. For the price we thought it was a really nice place.

When we checked in we were not told that construction was going on. I get that renovations have to happen but it would have been nice to have been told and been offered some different options depending on our needs during the day. I needed sleep and could not because of the noise and the manager said that all they could do was wave the resort fee but not move me to a quieter room. Sounds like a cop-out. Definitely will not stay here again. They should be more forthcoming with these kinds of things or at least do a better job of addressing it.

Honestly overall I’m stuck between 2/3 stars. For the price I feel like i guess it makes sense but I totally got fooled by the photos I saw when I got to the rooms. The lobby and the hotel itself is nice but I was not impressed with the room after further inspection.Decore is old and not even close to what the picture showed me. It’s not painting it’s just a giant printed carp that’s velcroed on the wall…Not to mention the creepy girl on the wall that just never breaks eye contact with you.The shower/bathroom is spacious but overall I was not impressed at all and even getting to my floor I was definitely worried. When you see the rooms online and in videos and photos it looks really nice but when you walk in it’s different. I liked the big TV and the fact that there was a big couch so you can put stuff on there. And there were 3 tables as well which helped with that as well. The lighting is mid, view is okay, bed was decently comfortable. Not a family friendly place given the mirror on top of the bed ceiling and the fact that you can literally see the shower through a huge glass window from the bedroom. For a couple it’s fine and I think given the price of you can suck it up sleeping there if you want to save some money but I wouldn’t go there again.

As locals, my husband and I visit the Sahara on weekends to enjoy the pool. The staff is friendly, we feel very welcome, the food is outstanding and there's a nice chill vibe! If sports is your thing, there are huge screens with different sports playing. Great drink menu as well!
