Valley Forge Casino Resort

Valley Forge Casino Resort, located in the Philadelphia area, positions itself as a premier destination for entertainment and gaming. However, recent guest feedback reveals a spectrum of experiences, from highly positive interactions to significant frustrations, suggesting that the resort has both its strengths and considerable areas for improvement.

The Casino & Events: Hit or Miss? 🎲

For many, the casino floor itself offers an engaging environment, especially when there's a live DJ creating a lively atmosphere. Guests have noted that private events and general gatherings are often well-received, providing good vibes and enjoyable times. The presence of entertainment, such as live music, contributes positively to the overall energy.

However, the gambling experience itself has drawn criticism. Some patrons find the slot machines to be notably "tighter" compared to other casinos, leading to quick losses and a lack of sustained playtime. This can deter guests from wanting to return for more gaming, with some describing the casino as feeling "empty" even during weekend evenings.

A particular point of concern for event-goers is the New Year's Eve celebration, which one reviewer described as "awful." Severe understaffing at bars, extended wait times (up to 45 minutes for a drink), and apparent favoritism towards certain guests negatively impacted the experience. Even the countdown timing was reportedly off, highlighting a need for better logistical planning during peak events.

Accommodations & Service: Room for Improvement 🛌

The resort's hotel component, specifically the Stardust Tower, has undergone renovations, but the results appear to be inconsistent. While some rooms on renovated floors might offer comfortable beds and functional TVs, other aspects fall short:

  1. Renovation Quality: Issues like exposed wiring, holes in walls around air conditioning units, and poorly thought-out bathroom designs (e.g., sink setup, tub area feeling like an afterthought) detract significantly from the perceived value and comfort.
  2. Value for Price: For the price charged, guests have found the rooms to be "not up to par," indicating a discrepancy between cost and quality.

Service, particularly at the front desk and bars, receives highly mixed reviews. On one hand, there are commendations for individual staff members who are described as "so nice," "informative," and "kind," even going the extra mile to provide complimentary tickets to events. These positive interactions highlight the potential for excellent customer service at Valley Forge.

Conversely, numerous reports detail frustrating encounters:

  • Bartender Attitudes: Instances of rudeness, being ignored, and favoritism at the bar have left guests feeling undervalued and disrespected.
  • Billing Discrepancies: A significant recurring issue involves overcharging and incorrect billing. Guests have reported being charged twice for rooms or services, erroneous deposit amounts, and general discrepancies between stated and actual charges. Resolving these issues appears to be a major challenge, with complaints of unresponsive staff, ignored online requests, and supervisors failing to return calls, often necessitating bank disputes.

Final Thoughts ✨

Valley Forge Casino Resort presents itself as a multifaceted destination, and indeed, its private events and general casino atmosphere can be enjoyable. However, the resort is plagued by inconsistencies in its renovated accommodations, highly variable customer service (especially in bars and billing), and a gambling experience that some find unrewarding. While some staff members shine with their excellent service, these positive experiences are often overshadowed by fundamental operational issues related to property maintenance, efficient service delivery during busy periods, and particularly, transparent and accurate billing practices. Prospective visitors should be aware of these potential pitfalls, especially regarding hotel stays and high-volume events.

Went to an event at the Casino and stayed in the Stardust Tower. The tower was under construction, the floor and room I stayed had been renovated. Still The room , for the price were not up to par. The bathroom/tub area seemed to have been an afterthought. The setup with the sink didn’t make sense. The wall around the air conditioner unit needs attention. There should not be any holes in the walls or exposed wiring. The bed was comfortable, tv was fine. The casino had a DJ playing music in the evening. The crowd seemed to be enjoying themselves. The bartenders could have been a lot nicer. More specifically the young lady (black hair with tattoos) rudely waited on a coworker before us even though we were at the bar before this gentleman. She then got an attitude when I brought it to her attention. It’s thus type of service and attitude that I try to avoid when I go out to spend my money.Bottom line—this place needs to take a closer examination of its newly renovated property and some of its employees.

I go to valley forge often. We attend a lot of events here. And the events are always great and good vibes. So amazing time for their private events. However i went for NYE and i would never again do that. It was awful. There wasn’t enough bartenders. They completely ignored you for over 45min. Some people just walked up and passed their cards to the guy in the zip up jacket and he’d get their drinks right away. The live DJ and the TVs the timing was off for the count down. I didn’t get a drink in my hand from the time we entered at 10pm until 11:55pm. Go here for the casino, the events but do not go here for NYE!

The staff were so nice especially the girl who checked me in the room. Unfortunately I didn't get her name but she was so informative and kind!! Gave us two free tickets to the fights! How awesome is that? Definitely deserves kudos (and a raise) from the establishment.

This casino is ok. I've been a couple of times but never won. Their machines feel a little tighter than other casinos. I spent a couple hundred each time I visited and was in and out within an hour. I tried many different machines in several denominations but couldn't even win enough to just play for a bit. Idk if id recommend this casino,it doesn't give me the feeling of wanting to hurry and get back to play like some other casinos do. I fully expect to lose my money when I go to a casino but I also expect to at least get a little so I can play a little longer, that didn't happen here for me. My experience may not be typical for everyone but I can say that the few times I was here, during the day and at night on the weekend, the place was pretty empty, that says a lot all by itself,BUT it is gambling after all

Every time I have stayed here they have over charged me and they are no help and I end up having to dispute charges. My recent stay on 2/14 was a mess. I booked it and paid on their website and when I got there they tried to make me pay again. A manager had to come out and I had to show them the charge on my credit card to get the room key. That’s fine. I had a food credit and ate at the chophouse that night and charged the tip to the room. The tip was somehow charged twice on the invoice. When I checked out, I told the front desk and they said they would fix it. They didn’t, so I filled out an online request right away telling them what happened and no one got back to me. I called and was transferred around before someone said a supervisor would call me back, and I didn’t receive any call. So now I only got $8 back from my deposit when I should’ve gotten most of it back. Not to mention they charged $115 for the deposit when they said it was $100. The room was supposed to be $359 plus $100 deposit but I was charged $474. I had a similar problem last time with random charges on the invoice and had to dispute it with my bank because no one was able to help. I will probably have to do the same. Be careful that they don’t overcharge you if you stay here.
