For those interested in the primary casino offerings, Rivers Casino provides a robust experience. Reviewers highlight a wide selection of slot games with good payout potential for lucky players. The Event Center at Rivers Casino is a popular draw, particularly for live music and comedy performances. Visitors consistently enjoy the range of acts, from nostalgic '90s bands to older classics and comedians. The venue offers a small venue setup, which many find appealing for an intimate viewing experience, and the price of the experience is considered very reasonable. A significant perk for attendees is the availability of free parking.
Guests generally find the seating arrangements in the Event Center to be well-organized, with padded and comfortable chairs suitable for longer events. However, a common observation is that the venue floor is flat. This can pose a challenge for stage viewing if others ahead of you decide to stand, potentially obstructing the view. In such cases, reliance on the two large screens becomes necessary to watch the performance.
A point of contention for some event attendees is the policy regarding non-alcoholic beverages at concession stands. While there's a past understanding among some guests that water, soda, and juice were provided for free on the property, recent experiences suggest inconsistent charging. One reviewer noted being charged for drinks that an employee later indicated should have been free, highlighting a potential discrepancy in policy or practice that visitors should be aware of.
For those seeking a venue for significant life events like weddings, Rivers Casino Events & Banquets receives glowing reviews. One couple described their wedding experience as "AMAZING," highly recommending it for both ceremonies and receptions. Key highlights include:
For those looking to extend their visit, The Landing Hotel, located within The Rivers Casino, comes highly recommended. It's cited as offering a "great experience," suggesting it complements the casino and event amenities well.
Rivers Casino Events & Banquets offers a diverse and enjoyable experience in Pittsburgh. Whether you're looking to try your luck at the slots, catch a live concert, or host a significant event like a wedding, the venue provides a robust set of amenities and generally positive customer service. The Ruvers Casino in Pittsburgh PA is a great place to hang out. There are plenty of slot games to play, and the pay put is good and excellent if you are lucky. They have many restaurants to satisfy pretty much anything you might want to eat. It's open around the clock, and every Rivers Team Member is very kind and helpful when needed. I like Las Vegas, but The Rivers is one of my favorite casinos close to home. If you haven't stayed over at the Landing Hotel (located in The Rivers Casino), you're missing out on a great experience.
Rivers Casino Event & BanquetOn August 2, 2024, my guest and I attended a concert at the Event Center at the Rivers Casino. While this review is primarily about the Event Center, I will add that we enjoyed listening and dancing to the Spinners and the Commodores in concert. In my personal observation, the Spinners outperformed the Commodores hands down.Back to the Event Center. While this certainly isn't my first time at this venue for many other concerts, this serves as my first review about the venue. The Center is very well arranged for seating. The chairs are padded and comfortable for long-term sitting beyond two hours. The only setback is the venue is flat. This poses a significant drawback when others ahead of you decide to stand up, making it difficult to watch the performances on stage.Overall, the Event Center is a good venue to enjoy all types of stage events. As for concession stands, it has been the casino's long-standing practice that non-alcoholic beverages, i.e., water, soda, and juice, had been free on the property. They charged me $8 total for cranberry juice and ginger ale. In the past, all drinks have been provided for free. The woman had to confer with a colleague about the drink prices. The other lady had, in fact, said that they were free. So, I thought if the drinks are free, is that one employee pocketing cash for drinks that are available for free?Overall, I recommend the Event Center for those wanting to enjoy live music and other on-stage options. Just know that seating has its challenging issues once others stand up, making it difficult to watch the stage and forcing you to turn your head to the two big screens to watch the show.
We recently had our wedding here, and you are looking for a place to host your ceremony and/or reception, this place is AMAZING! We worked with Cassandra and she was the absolute best! We had a very non-traditional wedding and Cassandra nailed the look and feel we were looking for. She also communication with us along the way and ensured the process was as easy for us possible. The food and the cake were also exceptional. The chef had our cake custom designed and there are plenty of delicious food options and alternative with those for specific dietary needs. The venue and the view was also breath taking. Having our wedding there was truly a special experience.
My wife and I have been hitting up all the concerts that the rivers has been having this year. It's been a blast! We don't really gamble so we grab dinner, play a couple of games, then hit the concert. I like the small venue setup. Your not going to get giant headliners come through but if you missed seeing some 90s bands when you were younger, this has hit the spot. Plus some older bands like Billiy ocean are coming through. The price of the experience is very reasonable and parking is always free
There to see Chevy Chase and watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation at the Event Center. Had a good time. Then went to the Drum Bar and danced and listened to Dancing Queen, always fun!!! ... with a little bit of slots to end the night.
