Let's start out by it is 1:38am. Our room boarders Virginia and 6th St. People of Reno love loud music and revving their engines effectively keeping you awake until all hours of the night.The room is super dated. Couch smells as if it is the original furnishings after many years of collecting odors. Shower valve is loose so when taking a shower the knob would drift to hot repeatedly. I guess that's better than drifting to cold. There is a fridge and Keurig but no microwave. No heating up your expensive left overs. The carpet was not vacuumed upon entry and later discovered not to walk in room shoeless or barefoot. Carpet leaves your socks trashed or feet filthy. Hard to describe smell of room, but unpleasant. Heat and air conditioning worked fabulously.I've only dealt with one staff member and she was very pleasant while checking us in.
Stayed five nights in the Sky Tower for a vacation. The only real upside was the location—everything else felt like a scavenger hunt through a time capsule. Check-in was at a completely different building, which isn’t ideal when you’re hauling luggage across a casino floor. The Sky Tower had no desk staff, a broken escalator, and elevators that apparently work on shifts (out of six, maybe three ran at a time). Our room had no microwave, which was oddly nostalgic in the worst way. Parking garage elevator? Broken. So we carried bags up five floors. Staff were generally indifferent at best, and food delivery had to be done through the main building—far from convenient. The surprise “resort” fee at checkout felt more like a punchline than an amenity. Overall, not worth the hassle. Wouldn’t stay again or recommend.
I've found the cleanliness and overall state to be significantly below expectations. The walls are marked with numerous dirty spots, some appearing to be bodily fluids, and the windows have prominent greasy prints. The floor has visible garbage and crumbs, the couch is stained, and the lampshades show signs of water damage. Additionally, I've noticed dust bunnies along the bathroom ceiling and in the window tracks, the AC vents are visibly filthy, and the coffee pot is not clean. There's also a sticky, clear, gummy substance present in various locations throughout the room. Even the non-operational thermostats on the walls are quite unsanitary.The room's decor is also rather disheartening. Both rooms feature just one small, black and white image; one is a melancholic carnival scene, and the other is a poorly cropped circus tent image that is more disorienting than charming. A large, bare wall behind the couch further adds to the uninspired atmosphere. The wooden furniture, which appears to be from the 1960s, is in poor shape, with marring, scuffs, and dirt in its front panel crevices. Considering this is a 'deluxe suite' that I paid to upgrade to, the current condition is simply not up to standard.
Had a fun little stop at Circus Circus in Reno. The place definitely has that old-school charm and lively energy, especially with the arcade and circus acts going on. The kids and even us adults had a blast messing around in the game area and checking out the prizes. Rooms were decent nothing fancy but clean and comfortable enough for a quick stay. Some areas feel a little outdated, but that’s part of its vibe. The food options were okay, and it connects to other casinos so you’re not stuck in one spot. Worth a visit if you’re looking for affordable fun in downtown Reno.
Room service attendants were awesome. Especially Chang. She was so kind. Keith at the bell desk is absolutely awesome too. Rooms are lovely and quiet if you request it. I wish there was microwaves allowed to be in the rooms. Overall a great stay on multiple occasions
