Nestled in Reno, United States, Crystal Bay Casino stands out not just as a gambling establishment, but as a surprisingly versatile entertainment venue. Despite its unassuming exterior, this place offers a unique blend of old-school charm, vibrant live music, and a welcoming atmosphere that has garnered positive reviews from visitors.
One of Crystal Bay Casino's most celebrated features is its dedication to live music. Reviewers consistently praise the venue's concert experience, highlighting its many strengths:
While often highlighted for its music, the casino aspect also receives favorable mentions. It's described as a "little old-school casino" that has successfully retained a charm often lost in larger, more modern establishments. Guests appreciate the options available, including card tables and slot machines. The bar area is noted as a fun spot for a bit of gambling, often accompanied by comped beverages.
Upon entering, visitors are often pleasantly surprised by the casino's appearance and vibe. The interior is described as very clean in appearance, with cool LED trees and crystals contributing to a unique and visually appealing environment. Customer service and the overall vibe are frequently praised, with guests noting that "everybody seemed very friendly." Many consider it "the best place to be in the evening" for its vibrant yet comfortable setting.
Crystal Bay Casino offers practical conveniences such as free parking and good security, contributing to a hassle-free visit. However, one common sentiment among reviewers is the presence of smoke, which some wish they could do without. Additionally, while the "old-school" charm is appreciated, some reviews suggest the place could benefit from general updates to its facilities.
In summary, Crystal Bay Casino in Reno is a destination that delivers a memorable experience, particularly for live music enthusiasts seeking an intimate setting. Its blend of entertainment, a friendly atmosphere, and a touch of nostalgic casino charm make it a compelling choice for a night out, despite a few minor considerations.
As a music venue, this place had great sound, plenty of parking, and was an all-around well staffed. Great place to see a band in a smaller, more intimate setting.
Had a great time at this little old-school casino. We went to CBC for the first time to see a concert, and we're really impressed by the customer service and overall vibe. They do need to update the place overall, but it has retained a charm that's been lost in the larger casinos. I highly recommend the VIP experience for the indoor concerts because the CBC Backstage lounge is worth the extra $20. You'll get some appetizers and a place to sit if you need a break from the crowd.
Bar is fun to do a little gambling while enjoying a comped beverage. Could do without the smoke. Bands are entertaining.
It is a neat and intimate venue to see a live show. Big Head Todd and the Monsters were awesome.
