Nestled in Shreveport, Louisiana, Margaritaville Resort Casino aims to bring a slice of paradise to the Red River. As a primary casino destination, it offers a blend of gaming, hospitality, and dining. Reviews for Margaritaville paint a picture of a resort that excels in some areas while facing challenges in others, particularly concerning the consistency of its offerings.
The casino floor at Margaritaville garners mixed reactions. On the positive side, many guests praise its exceptional cleanliness, noting it as one of the cleanest casinos they've visited. The slot selection is often highlighted as top-notch, featuring a broad array of the newest machines alongside beloved old-school classics, ensuring a variety of options for different tastes. Patrons also appreciate the availability of numerous table games staffed by friendly and professional dealers, leading to minimal wait times and an easy entry into the action.
However, the gaming experience is not without its detractors. Some users express significant disappointment with what they perceive as poor payout rates, with one reviewer stating, "If you win on a machine, CASH OUT cuz it will take it all after that." There are also complaints about newer machines where visuals and bonuses reportedly "HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH WINNING OR A BONUS," leading to a "false sense of accomplishment" and a less enjoyable experience for some.
The accommodation aspect of Margaritaville Resort Casino generally receives favorable comments. Rooms are often described as spacious and comfortable, with guests appreciating the good TV channel selection and the overall quiet atmosphere, conducive to a relaxing stay. The hotel's convenience to the casino is a definite plus for many visitors, and the staff is frequently commended for accommodating special requests.
For guests with accessibility needs, the resort stands out. One reviewer specifically lauded the disabled-friendly rooms, highlighting features such as roll-in/walk-in showers, easily reachable closets, and a bathroom large enough for wheelchair maneuverability, with the sink counter allowing for easy wheelchair access. The bell hop service also received high praise in this context.
Despite these positives, one review severely critiques the room cleanliness and maintenance, citing issues like hair on the bathroom floor, holes in sheets, lack of fitted sheets, and broken tiles. While seemingly an isolated incident among the provided reviews, it underscores the importance of consistent housekeeping standards. Additionally, while beds are generally found comfy, one guest noted the soft pillow-top bed was "a little too high and hard to move around in" for transferring from a wheelchair.
One specific dining experience mentioned was at Johnny's. A dish of quail shrimp and grits was described as a "weird combo," with the quail being unpalatable to one guest, despite loving quail generally. However, the accompanying "3 different butters" were appreciated.
Customer service at Margaritaville is a consistent strong point. Multiple reviews highlight the staff as outstanding, polite, helpful, and genuinely caring about guests' experiences. This attentive and professional service contributes significantly to a positive overall impression for many visitors, from casino dealers to hotel staff and bell hops.
Margaritaville Resort Casino in Shreveport offers a vibrant, island-themed getaway with a strong emphasis on gaming and comfort. While its casino cleanliness, diverse slot selection, and excellent customer service are frequently celebrated, potential inconsistencies in gaming payouts and isolated reports of room maintenance issues can detract from the overall experience. The hotel's accessible rooms are a notable highlight, showcasing a commitment to accommodating diverse guest needs. For those seeking a lively casino atmosphere with generally comfortable accommodations and friendly staff, Margaritaville remains a considerable option, though expectations regarding gaming wins should always be tempered.
I had a fantastic experience at Margaritaville Resort and Casino! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how extremely clean the entire casino was—one of the cleanest I’ve seen. It really made the whole atmosphere feel fresh and welcoming. The slot selection was top-notch, with all the newest machines available, plus a great mix of old-school classics for those who like the traditional feel. Whether you’re into the latest high-tech games or the tried-and-true favorites, there’s something for everyone. They also had plenty of table games available with friendly and professional dealers, which made it easy to jump in and enjoy the action without long waits.Customer service throughout the resort was outstanding. Every staff member I interacted with was polite, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure guests had a great time.Overall, Margaritaville delivers a high-quality, fun, and relaxing casino experience. I’ll definitely be back!
Someone tell me where the 4 stars come from. There was hair all over the bathroom floor. There is no fitted sheet on the bed. The top sheet had holes all in it. No glasses in the room just paper cups. There was also hair stuck in the towels. There were broken tiles everywhere. We didn't win a penny...no one playing was. In fact the only casino that was paying out is the new one.
Casino was terrible!! 😵 If u win on a machine, CASH OUT cuz it will take it all after that. It was hardly any fun. And they have a lot of the new machines where the visuals HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH WINNING OR A BONUS. (Even says so in the rules.) False sense of accomplishment.Hotel was great. Spacious rooms, comfy bed, TV channel selection was good.Ate at Johnny's, had the quail shrimp and grits. Weird combo. Seems like it should be 2 separate dishes. Couldn't eat the quail and I love quail. Loved the 3 different butters.
The Bossier City location is an excellent hotel. I've stayed here twice, and both times, the resort was a real treat. Highly recommended. The hotel was quiet and convenient to the casino. The staff accomodated my special requests. The rooms can be a little pricey, but I truly enjoyed them.
Loved the room that was for the disabled . Roll in shower or walk in along with easy closets to reach clothes. The bathroom was large enough to get to the toilet easy in my wheelchair and wash my face and hands at the sink. My wheelchair got easily under the counter. The only problem I had was the bed. It was a little too high and hard to move around in. I slept wonderful with the soft pillow top bed. It was a soft bed that I am not used to making it harder for transferring or being able to move because there is nothing to hold into to help me turn. But the room was fantastic along with the bell hop. Thank you so very much.
