Located in the scenic city of Atlántida, Uruguay, Casino Victoria Plaza is a state-owned casino that offers a gaming experience with a mix of positives and areas for improvement. While some visitors find it a "great place" for a stop during travel, others have noted significant considerations regarding value and service. It's often described as "not too big," offering a more intimate setting.
The casino makes a positive initial impression, with its entrance and chandelier frequently praised as "beautiful." This elegant decor contributes to a pleasant atmosphere. However, due to certain pricing structures, some areas, particularly table games, can appear "empty most of the night." Despite this, some patrons find it a "good" overall place to visit.
The gaming offerings at Casino Victoria Plaza present a varied picture for visitors. For those interested in table games, specifically roulette, the minimum bets are noted to be quite high: 200 pesos for inside bets and a significant 2000 pesos for outside bets. This pricing strategy can deter players and contributes to the tables being less active.
Regarding slot machines, opinions are divided. A key advantage for some players is that, as a state-owned casino, the "payouts are proper," suggesting a fair and consistent gaming experience on the slots. However, others have found the slot "machines are expensive too" and noted the presence of "a lot of old machines," which might not appeal to those seeking modern gaming technology.
When it comes to service, patrons should be aware that there are reportedly no waiters circulating to serve drinks directly on the casino floor. Instead, visitors must go to the bar themselves to obtain beverages. A convenient amenity for international travelers is the ability to "change dollar" directly at the casino. While not directly related to the casino floor, one review mentioned that "employees at breakfast saloon were not so friendly," which could indicate general variability in hospitality within the broader establishment, possibly if it's part of a hotel complex.
Casino Victoria Plaza can be a suitable destination for individuals looking for a state-owned casino experience in Atlántida, particularly if fair slot payouts are a priority. Its pleasant aesthetics, especially the entrance and chandelier, are definite highlights. However, potential visitors should be prepared for potentially high minimums at table games, which may lead to a less crowded gaming environment. For those prioritizing a bustling atmosphere or seeking better value for money, a comparison with other casinos, such as Sofitel Carrasco, might be beneficial, as one reviewer suggested it offers a superior experience in those aspects.
Good....not too big....but good....you can change dollar............Nice girls....outside....Good place
Expensive casino! Roulette minimums are 200 pesos for inside bets and 2000 pesos for outside bets. Due to the high prices the tables are empty most of the night. The machines are expensive too and theres no waiters to serve drinks unless you go to the bar. A lot of old machines also. The only positive was that the entrance of the casino and chandelier were beautiful. The casino in Sofitel Carrasco is a lot better and better value for money also.
Nice place to rest when travelling. Employes at breakfast saloon were not so freindly.
This casino is the slot machine casino that the payouts are proper . I hate playing slots at the non state owned casinos they are not the same......
