We booked dinner reservation on Saturday night. I had the rump steak and it was cooked to perfection. I also enjoyed the grilled scallop - entree. Cod fish was fresh. Next time we will try the tomahawk. Staff were attentive and great service. I suggest do not get the set menu, order a la carte instead better value for money. $120 incl one drink average each person. Set menu is $105 pp not including drinks.
Upmarket pub with a huge covered balcony. Came for lunch. You can order via QR code or at the bar. There are daily lunch specials. We started with the foccacia and beef croquettes. Mains were beef burger, chicken salad and gnocci. Food was really good. Staff are really friendly. Must come back another time to try Hatch.

The only advice would be ask the wait staff to bring each course out separately. We went yesterday for the Mother’s Day banquet and it was soo delicious! All the food was delicious on the menu which to my surprise isn’t always the case with fine dining. The banquet was so generous because it’s more than just a 3 course meal, they give you an extra amuse bouche and share plates (salad and fries) when the main is served. So it was 5 course for $110 pp which is pretty good in Sydney and at a hatted restaurant. Definitely felt stuffed afterwards from the generous portion sizes so no Maccas run after. The service was great and it was so lovely that they gave all the Mothers a little bouquet and chocolates and had a photobooth. Honestly such a local gem in Hurstville! We would definitely recommend others to try and keen to try their normal banquet next time.
The salads, burgers, and coffee are delicious. However, there's no table service during lunch due to the special pricing . Ordering can be chaotic, with long queues at the bar since the bartender has to take orders and prepare drinks simultaneously.
