The Ville Resort-Casino, situated in picturesque Townsville, Australia, is widely regarded as one of the city's premier accommodation and entertainment destinations. While its primary classification is a casino, guest reviews highlight a strong focus on its resort amenities, dining experiences, and hotel services, making it a compelling choice for both business and leisure travelers seeking a comprehensive "one-stop destination."
Visitors consistently praise The Ville for its exceptional service and well-appointed facilities. The guest experience often begins with a seamless arrival, with valet services taking charge of luggage and vehicles, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Check-in is reported to be efficient, even without prior bookings.
While many aspects of The Ville are highly rated, a few recurring points of concern were raised by guests, primarily related to room inconsistencies, shower design, and parking.
The Ville Resort-Casino generally provides a very positive experience, cementing its reputation as a leading destination in Townsville, particularly for those seeking a comprehensive resort stay with excellent dining and a range of facilities. While the casino is its primary classification, the resort's strengths lie in its hotel services, culinary delights, and overall amenity package. Potential guests should be aware of the varied room quality across different levels, and prepare for potential parking challenges, which appear to stem from the casino's operational priorities. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall consensus leans heavily towards a highly enjoyable and recommended stay.
Had a fantastic stay here. Started at the entrance being greeted by the valet who took charge of our luggage and car. Check in without a booking wasn't an issue either. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Miss Songs and Quarterdeck had divine food and service.Loved our stay will certainly stay here again. Had a look through the casino, but didn't play at all.
Probably one of the better places to stay in Townsville. The rooms are neat and tidy but the showers are also a bath making the headroom lower - not great for tall people. Facilities are lovely and the restaurants are good. Solid 4 Star
Probably one of the better locations to stay while in Townsville. But I wouldn’t necessarily agree it was value for money for a longer stay. The rooms really vary on quality comfort and view with pricing to match. Not too bad for a couple of nights particularly if you’re going to make the most of the casino, pool, bars and restaurants. Highly recommend the buffet breakfast and dinners but do your homework on pricing before you go because there is a lot of price difference day-to-day particularly over the weekend where a buffet dinner will cost you $69 per adult. but honestly, it was well worth it probably one of the best buffets we have been to. The level 12 rooms are pretty dated and the carpets need replacing but other rooms on 15, 16 and 17 are all very good.
Travelled to Townsville for business, and stayed at The Ville as a guest of a VIP member of the resort — couldn’t be more impressed with the entire experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The meals were fantastic, and the facilities make it a one-stop destination. You genuinely don’t even need to leave the place. Can't wait to return with a crew and enjoy this place on a holiday.
We booked two rooms for two weddings. The reception and housekeeping staff were efficient and friendly. The room itself was clean and tidy. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The views were great. The shower needs an upgrade. The position of the taps in the shower itself is very low and water pressure wasn't very good. The parking situation is atrocious. The Ville gives priority to the gamblers rather than hotel guests. We went to all parks available and all were full. As someone paying for two rooms, I expect to get a carpark without having to resort to valet parking. I'm capable of parking my own car. The parking itself, on the marina side is full of potholes. The whole area needs to be resealed.
