Casino Pride Nepal

Located conveniently next to the Hyatt Hotel in Kathmandu, Casino Pride Nepal positions itself as a gaming destination with the attractive feature of free entry. However, user reviews paint a highly mixed picture, showcasing both commendable aspects and significant drawbacks, particularly concerning service quality.

📍 Location & Access

The casino's prime location adjacent to the Hyatt Hotel offers easy access for guests. Prospective visitors should note that passport registration is mandatory at the entrance to gain free access to the premises.

🎲 Gaming Experience & Facilities

Casino Pride Nepal is described by many as a smaller establishment when compared to other casinos in Kathmandu. While it operates until early morning, some guests have observed that a "few tables were closed," including specific games like Tai Sai, which might limit the available gaming options. The casino's primary demographic largely consists of Indian male visitors.

Regarding financial transactions, players should be aware that chips are exclusively issued in Indian Rupee. It's important to remember that Indian ₹500 notes are not accepted due to their illegal status in Nepal; only Nepali currency and Indian ₹100 notes are permissible for transactions.

🤝 Staff & Service: A Tale of Two Experiences

This aspect of Casino Pride Nepal receives the most contrasting feedback:

  1. 👍 Exceptional Service: One highly positive review lauded the casino for its "great service and attendants at the tables," emphasizing how "everyone was super helpful in any case." This suggests a potential for a very positive and supportive gaming environment.
  2. 👎 Rude and Unprofessional Conduct: Conversely, multiple reviews describe experiences with "shockingly rude and unprofessional" staff who allegedly lacked "even basic manners." Specific incidents mentioned include dismissive behavior, being passed between staff members when seeking assistance for dinner coupons, and insulting remarks directed at players regarding their betting amounts.
  3. 👎 Lack of Transparency: A significant point of frustration for some guests was the lack of clear communication regarding gaming policies, such as unannounced minimum balance requirements for playing on computer roulette, which were only disclosed upon departure.
  4. 👎 Perceived Discrimination: Disturbingly, some Indian guests reported feeling "discriminatory" treatment, suggesting bias and a lack of hospitality from certain staff members.

🍽️ Dining & Other Amenities

The casino offers some basic snacks, such as fried nuggets and chips. However, the dining service has attracted severe criticism, being labeled as "totally third class" with "very slow service" and staff described as "lazy and filled with attitude." Concerns were also raised about staff manners towards women and children in the dining area. For those interested in nightlife, the dance bar is noted to close at 2:00 AM.

⚖️ Overall Verdict

Casino Pride Nepal offers a polarizing experience. While the advantage of free entry and the possibility of encountering genuinely helpful staff are notable, these positives are heavily overshadowed by consistent complaints regarding poor and rude staff behavior, slow service, and perceived discriminatory treatment. Visitors seeking a high-end or consistently hospitable casino experience might find it disappointing. It appears to be a venue where individual experiences can vary wildly, requiring visitors to manage their expectations regarding service and overall atmosphere.

Been to many casinos around the world, but never experienced such great service and attendants at the tables. Everyone was super helpful in any case. Plus their is no entry charge to make the experience better. Best casino in kathmandu for sure

Located next to Hyatt Hotel. Need to register with passport at entrance first before enterimg for free. It is not a big fancy casino; most of the guests inside were Indian men. Quite a few tables were closed including the Tai Sai. Some small snacks like fried nuggets and chips were seen offered.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Rude and Disrespectful StaffOur visit to the casino was by far the worst experience we've ever had. The behavior of the staff was shockingly rude and unprofessional — it genuinely felt like they thought they owned the place rather than being there to serve customers. While I agree that the entry is free, it’s important to remember that we are paying for the games and contributing to the business. Despite that, the staff lacked even basic manners in speaking to guests. When we asked about dinner coupons, we were sent from one staff member to another repeatedly — no one wanted to take responsibility or help us out. It was extremely frustrating and time-wasting.The most disappointing incident happened while we were playing roulette on the computer. Upon asking for drinks, a staff member named Mr. Badri Rijal rudely said, “1000 ₹ me khelenge aur beer bhi piyenge?” (You’ll play with ₹1000 and still expect a beer?). This was deeply insulting and uncalled for. Later, he mentioned that the minimum balance should be ₹5000 for playing on the computer – something that was never communicated to us beforehand. We only found out as we were leaving. To make things worse, a pit staff member in a blue blazer (unfortunately we couldn’t get his name) completely ignored us when we approached him for assistance. His dismissive and arrogant behavior made us feel extremely unwelcome.Overall, the treatment felt discriminatory – especially towards Indian guests. We expected hospitality and fairness, but were instead met with contempt and bias. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a respectful and enjoyable experience.

The casino is worst in Nepal located nearby the best hotel totally destroying the Hyatts reputation. The casino has no reputation for a five star guest and totally destroys the mood of a guest. The dining is totally third class. Service is very slow and staff is very lazy and filled with attitude making the environment totally irritating to dine in. Staff has no manners to behave with children and women. Would recommend to go to hell but not here. It’s a very bad experience and would never love to return here. Please improve.

Nepali currency is acceptable and so is Indian 100₹ notes.Chips are given in Indian Rupee only.
