It all started with our arrival at Ghorakpur airport on March 16th 2025. A group of 37 started our journey to Nepal from Hyderabad with #Ezeego holidays. After a 2 hour flight to UP. We were welcomed by Dinesh Ghimere from Shivalaya holidays . He was very courteous and helpful throughout the trip. The group first visited the Goraknath temple , then later left for Sonauli (India - Nepal border). After the usual checking and permits , we enter Nepal. The ride was rough as the roads in Nepal were under construction. It was a difficult ride as the road for kilometres were under constructed, we all felt the brunt of it. But as soon as we reached Bhairawaha, the hotel was a sight for sore eyes. The check-in and room allocation was briskly done by Dinesh and the hotel staff. We all quickly freshened up and got ready for dinner . To our surprise, they served us South Indian cuisine. Dinesh and Kiran took care of the minute details keeping in mind the likes and dislikes of the customers. After an early breakfast we then left for Kathmandu (KM). It is a long and tiring journey of about 10-12 hours, to distract ourselves from the roller coaster ride, we took up activities like tambola, antakshiri, etc.. With frequent halts for stretching and relaxing, the journey seemed never ending but after reaching KM we were relieved looking at the ambience of the hotel. Hotel Mandala Norling is a must visit Hotel. Dinesh arranged for a Mountain View flight (window seat) thru Buddha airways , this was an early morning flight to see the mountain peaks. I would say this was one of most exciting thing I have ever seen it is an humbling experience to watch the sunrise and then to be up lose to peaks like Dorje Lakpa, Gouri Shankar, Choba Bhamre and 7 more such peaks , topping them all was Mount Everest. It’s a breath taking view to see it up close.Post the Mountain View we covered all the prominent places and temples in KM. We then left to Pokhara and stayed at Hotel Shaara . Since the temple is way up in the mountains , the roads were more suitable for an off road rider, nevertheless Dinesh and Kiran (TM of Ezeego holidays) arranged for a comfortable vehicle so that the brunt of the road is reduced at least by 30-40% . The Trishuli river that runs around the mountain ranges is a sight for everyone who travels to Pokhara. To reach Manokamana Temple one has to climb 3 mountains , thanks to the rope way service, we did not have to challenge our knees. The rope way ride is a must and the steep climb not only gives the chills but also the thrill .After Pokhra the group then proceeded to Jomsom and checked in Hotel Majesty. Being close to the snow capped mountain sends shivers , but thanks to Shivalaya holidays planning, room heaters and hot water was available . After a bumpy ride we all slipped into our beds with 3-4 layers of blankets to keep ourselves warm.After an early morning breakfast, we left to Mustang/ Muktinath Temple for sight seeing and holy dip. The devotees took the holy dip in the ice cold waters to attain Mukti and atone for their sins.Spending time in Mustang is something no one should miss, especially those Instagrammers, you tubers and influencers. The vibe is -Hyderabadi mein bole toh “Kiraak”.After Jomsom and Pokhara we then headed to Lumbini, visited different monasteries. It is believed that Gowtham Buddha was born in the forests of Lumbini. We get to see a lot of Buddhist monks and pilgrims who visit the site.All good things comes to an end but what we gathered and captured was more than the sites we visited or the places we stayed. We made new Friends . We all started as first timers who were meeting each other for the first time but the pain, the laughter and the madness brought us all together.
