Located in the scenic Tagaytay City, Pokerstars Live Manila aims to bring a premium poker experience to the Philippines. However, based on recent player feedback, the reality often falls short of expectations, particularly concerning service quality and operational efficiency.
While the physical environment of Pokerstars Live Manila generally receives praise for being "nice" or a "nice room," the overall player experience is heavily marred by recurring issues. The average sentiment from recent reviews is largely negative, with players frequently expressing frustration over service, dealer competence, and operational policies.
Pokerstars Live Manila in Tagaytay presents a notable paradox: a well-branded poker room situated in a pleasant physical setting, yet consistently hampered by critical operational and service deficiencies. The high rake, coupled with frequent dealer errors and a perceived lack of accountability for those errors, significantly detracts from the overall poker experience. Players seeking a professional, smooth, and entirely trustworthy poker environment might find themselves disappointed.
Recommendation: Proceed with caution. If you choose to play at Pokerstars Live Manila, be prepared to vigilantly monitor every hand for dealer errors and be aware of the reported service limitations. While the games can be potentially soft, the inherent risks associated with operational issues and customer service shortcomings make it a challenging venue for serious poker enthusiasts.
10% rake is quite a lot. Dealers make mistakes so be sure to check every hand you're involved in. They make a mistake once an orbit or so. Service is meh. And after you get felted, you have to get up and buy more chips at the counter. They wont bring them to you like they do everywhere else. Whats up with that?
Trash! It is one of the worst poker rooms and customer service I've ever experienced in my 30 yrs of playing. They have no regard for common sense and won't open up any more tables even though there is a 20-person waiting list for the smallest buyins. When talking to the manager to get more dealers, they laugh at you. This place is highly overstaffed, with 70% of the dealers just lingering around doing nothing.
Nice environment but meh service. Dealers tend to make quite a few mistakes and need players to correct them. 10% rake is steep. Theyβve made some improvements for service since last year, but mostly seem to be riding on the brand.
Room is nice, games can be really soft to somewhat tough depending on table composition and your assigned seat.Rake is high but on par with rest of Manila.Dealers are poor to slightly below average at best. You need to keep an eye on the dealers as they make lots of mistakes
the poker room do not assume the mistakes of their dealers although they have seen the evidence on the camera and informed me that the dealer made a mistake of 10 000 pesos. I buy in for 50k on 100/200 pesos cash game table. My first hand I double up against one guy that covered me. At the end of the hand my stack was only 90k insteat of being 100k. I did not notice at first because time to put my chips and since usually i buy in 40k, I was not surprised of this number. After 10 min I noticed and informed the floor. They checked camera for 30 minutes and find out the deal forgot to give me 10k from the stack of the oponent. The oponent had left by that time. As of now (more than 1 week ago) the casino still did not pay me back for this mistake and I'm still waiting my money. They did not reply to my last message on whatsapp. This poker room does not seem very serious. I will keep you posted if finally the casino pay me back...
